This bowl is made from pohutukawa which has a special place in many kiwis hearts as it's also known as the NZ Christmas Tree. Its abundant red blossoms signal the start of summer along the coast where it typically grows. Many beachgoers picnic under the shade of the trees as they open presents and enjoy the holiday season. The bowl is a deep design and sits on a small pedestal base.
